Mental Health Initiative for At-Risk Youth
ACTIVATION FOR YOUTH: Mpererwe is a neighborhood in North Kampala, Uganda where youth face serious problems, including drug addiction that factors into mental health issues. Mr. Bbaale Drake Thomase, Liaison for this new City of Peace community, has serious GOALS; “1. To establish a mental health support centre in Mpererwe, 2. Organize community events that promote unity and social bonding, 3. Launch a youth led entrepreneurship to boost youth livelihoods.”
Mental Health is core to peace, not only in individuals but also in cultural and national trauma.
